Last January 21, 2020, GCC held the 13th G-EPIC (Grace– English Proficiency Interschool Competition) with a theme: “The Youth, Thoroughly Equipped Today, Will Be the Leaders That Make A Difference Tomorrow.” Fifteen (15) schools competed in the Written Quiz Bee and the Oratorical Speech Contest.
The winners for the Written Quiz Bee were: St. Jude Catholic School—1st place, St. Stephen’s High School—2nd place, and Jubilee Christian Academy—3rd place. While the winners for the Oratorical Speech Contest were: St. Theresa’s College—1st place, Philippine Institute of Quezon City—2nd place, and Xavier School San Juan— 3rd place.
Over-all, St. Theresa’s College emerged as the champion, followed by Chiang Kai Shek as the 1st runner up, then Jubilee Christian Academy as the 2nd runner up.
G-EPIC provides a venue for the students to be trained in writing and in speaking, allowing students to express their thoughts, opinions, views, principles, and conviction while giving them the opportunity to develop sportsmanship and camaraderie
