Gracean Whiz received the SILVER Award for Gracious Professionalism at the FIRST Lego League (FLL) Asia Pacific Open Championship held on July 4-7, 2019 in Sydney, Australia. The competition engaged 43 teams (over 400 students) from 21 countries.
The Philippine team received the second place award for "Gracious Professionalism". The award recognizes teams with high quality work ethics, emphasizing the value of others, and respecting individuals and the community. The team was composed of Alexis Diane Ngo (Gr.12-1), Heart Bernice Tan (Gr.12-4), Gen Bernardine Dy (Gr.12-3), Denzell Robyn Dy (Gr.10-4), Ethan Russell Uy (Gr.11-1), Zoe Angeli Uy (Gr.8-1), Arabelle Galupe (Gr.12-2), Ziyang Zhang (Gr.12-1), Kylie Danielle Sy (Gr.8-1), and Chrysille Grace So (Gr.10-1) with coaches Arlyn Jordan and Engr.
